The Cornell Family

William Cornell born in the Parish of Hargrave in Suffolk, married Frances Cornell in 1802
They had at least four children one of whom was Sarah.

Her birth and Baptism are recorded at the LMA in St Mary le bone. She was born 3rd February 1805, and Baptised 9th June 1805

 .

Baptismal record of Sarah Cornell

Sarah Cornell married Samuel Nichols in June 1831

Samuel and Sarah became the parents of at least six children and their daughter Emma married George Richard Stafford  in London in 1862.   They were to become my  great grandparents

 The Glen Family

John Glen married Hannah Margaret Cornell, at All Souls St Marylebone in 1832.
Hannah was Sarah’s older sister.  John died before the 1851 census.

Sarah had also died at about the same time, and in 1862 Samuel Nichols married his sister-in-law, Hannah.  1871 Samuel Nichols now married to Hannah Glen is living with them at 2 Arlington Street.

Also with them is Thomas Shaw, 28, Samuel’s son-in-law, husband of Hannah Glen born c.1837, and  Harry Shaw Samuel’s grandson aged 1
